Sumner Sports Presents: The Iron Five Tour

Officials from the ACC Barnstorming Tour, in association with Sumner Sports, are proud to present the Iron Five Tour. Beginning in April, 2022, the Tour is a four-stop event where 200 fans are treated to a Q & A and autograph session with members of the UNC Chapel Hill Tarheels 2021-2022 men's basketball team: Caleb, RJ, Leaky, Brady, Armando, Puff and Dontrez. All-American and fan favorite Phil Ford will be hosting each stop of the Tour.

Tour Director and head of Sumner Sports, Pet Sumner states: “This team gave us one of the most incredible runs in March Madness history. The press often referred to the run as ‘improbable,’ yet victory after victory proved it was more than probable!”

According to Sumner, both COVID restrictions and the added eligibility year awarded to athletes created some hurdles for the 2022 version of the annual Barnstorming Tour. The Iron 5 events serve as a thrilling spinoff of the hugely popular Barnstorming Tour, while giving fans an opportunity to show these players just how much they appreciated that “improbable” run! Ted A. Greve & Associates of Charlotte, Hickory, and Gastonia is sponsoring the autograph session at the close of each evening’s festivities.

For over 40 years, the ACC Barnstorming Tour has brought a wide array of college basketball legends into basketball-loving communities across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions. Past participants include Sidney Lowe, Len Bias, Michael Jordan, Tyler Hansbrough, Danny Green, Nolan Smith, Tyler Zeller, Grayson Allen, and Luke Maye.
