Another National Award for TSG!

The Sumner Group was recently named a winner in the 32nd Healthcare Advertising Awards. The agency was a Merit Winner for the “Twist Again” television campaign developed for CarolinaEast Health System. The campaign included print, outdoor, radio and TV spots promoting CarolinaEast’s Orthopedic practice.

This year, over 3,700 entries were received, making the awards the largest health care advertising awards competition and one of the 10 largest of all advertising awards. A national panel of judges reviewed entries based on creativity, quality, message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design and overall impact. Jacque Sumner, company president and account executive for CarolinaEast said, “This is the fifth year the Sumner Group has been recognized. We are most excited for our client and their marketing director, Megan McGarvey. Ms. McGarvey not only encourages a good deal of collaboration but has some wonderful ideas.”

TSG Receives National Award

The Sumner Group was recently announced as a winner in the 12th Annual Service Industry Advertising Awards.  The agency received a Silver Award for a campaign developed for CarolinaEast Health System, “Twist Again.” The campaign included print, outdoor, radio and TV promoting the quality award-winning CarolinaEast Center for Orthopedic and Total Joint Care.

The Service Industry Advertising Awards began in 2003 to recognize the advertising excellence of the service industry.  More than 400 advertising agencies and over 700 institutions participated in the 12th Annual SIAA Awards. Over 1,500 entries were received in this year’s competition.  A national panel of judges evaluated and rated entries in eight groups and twenty-six categories.

Michael Sumner, vice-president of The Sumner Group, said “this is huge for the agency and CarolinaEast Health System.  The client contributes great creative ideas and has been phenomenal to work with.  I am very proud of the team.”  Headquartered in New Bern, NC, CarolinaEast Health System offers a complete compliment of inpatient and outpatient services anchored by a 350 bed full service hospital.

A national panel of judges reviewed every entry for execution, creativity, quality, consumer appeal and overall breakthrough advertising content.  Winners were announced February 1.  Creative Director Anthony Rodriguez designed the campaign and Brandon McBee, Assistant Art Director, assisted in execution. Richelle Benton is the Account Executive for CarolinaEast and aided in media procurement and placement, as well as the TV and radio spot creation.  Responding to the announcement about the awards, Megan McGarvey, Director of Public Relations at CarolinaEast Health System, noted “We have had great success crafting creative and targeted marketing for CarolinaEast.  I appreciate that The Sumner Group is open to ideas from my staff and how well we work together to bring that creativity to fruition. It is a good partnership.”
